The Bruce Peninsula in Canada

Canada's Bruce Peninsula on Georgian Bay is a great place to hike.  While there I took this photo of the shoreline and liked it so much that I used it for the cover of my book, The Dynamic Great Lakes.

At this time of year you may find morel mushrooms if you have sharp eyes.  They are hard to spot but worth the effort.

Many unique species of wildflowers bloom on the Bruce Peninsula and the hiking trails are easy to follow.

If you venture out into the bay on a boat, be aware of the many shipwrecks that lie under water.  You can book a glass bottom boat to view some of these.  Sometimes the waters here are treacherous for the unwary.
