Wishing for Viridity
For spring to reappear. So I
Painted wildflowers with green
Leaves and stems all around
A veery’s trill opens my bluebells
Pink columbine, delicate hepatica
And nodding pitcher plants.
I want to lie down in a grassy meadow
And breathe sweet breezes this spring.
