This is Viglund's sculpture from Frogner Park in Oslo Norway. His imagination is exceptional. My mother and I visited Norway years ago and I carried away many memories of the beautiful country and its art. This may have been inspired by a fairy tale of East of the Sun and West of the Moon. The fairy tale in turn may have been inspired by the myth of Cupid and Psyche.
