On the Sea of Cortez
Near shore fish that resemble seaweed
hear the song the sea emanates.
Walk into the surf--don't step on the stone fish that lie below.
The whales are coming in, spouting as they go.
Marlins bask on the surface--see their sword like fins.
Descend, hear clicks and low pitched moans--
these are whales sending their voices through vaulted liquid hallways
of the salty sea that moves in tides and rhythms
just like the lifeblood in me.

Today it's snowing. I wish I were there right now.
