Ice on Lake Michigan

Ice is forming on the shore of Lake Michigan.  A strong west wind will pile the ice into ridges as you see in this photo.  In the foreground is a snow fence on the beach to keep the snow from blocking a road nearby.  Winter is not officially here yet, but it's getting a head start.
