Reddish Egret: Rare Bird Sighting

Last year while roaming Texas I came across a bird watching group and they let me look through their big telescope.  What I saw was the reddish egret that wades and spreads its wings to make a shadow in the water and then spears a fish in shallow water.

Clever bird.
