My Horse

My Horse
All my life I have wanted to ride

So I gave my horse its head

We galloped through brambles

And flower filled fields

We waded rushing streams.

We only stopped to gaze

And drink clear water

from deep still pools.

My horse climbed to

high mountain meadows

We looked up at the peaks above

We looked down at where we had been.

Where my horse is headed now

The greatest mystery.
